Hello. Please can somebody help me to white list a website I need to access for my job? I can access it if I turn off Virus alerts otherwise it is considered suspicious. I need to upload images to it for a client and neither the main site or admin area will load unless Virus alerts are turned off. The site has a SSL certificate and loads via HTTPS. I am 100% certain that it is a safe site. It is mainly flower images by a nature photographer. I can not get through to Talk Talk help line for love nor money nd am a bt desperate as I have lost 3 days trying to sort it out (with assistance from the site main Tech advisor who says that it has been blocked by talk talk and we can not see where we can white list it in the router / Talk Talk Home settings. Thank you.

Thank you very much. Yes we did try to white list the site via kidsafe but it didn't make a difference. I understand that it is something to do with the site previously being HTTP and being seen to be a threat. For some reason even though it is now HTTPS and has SSL certificate, Talk Talk continues to recognise the site as a threat. It really is 100% safe site of beautiful wildlife and landscape photography that everybody else seems to be able to open easily and work on except for me. It seems to me that there is a glitch somewhere with Talk Talk. I am just the technician trying to upload images and my skills in identifying the problem are very minimal. It all loads fine when I tether on my phone but this isn't practical so I guess turning off Virus alerts is my only option although this does not feel very satisfactory either. Thank you anyway.

You are most welcome @yhoughes , the option to whitelist is available on kids safe, however it is not available if the website is being blocked by virus alert. Have a beautiful weekend and take care 🙂

Hello and thank you for your interest. Yes, that seems to be my only option. Perhaps I can feed back to Talk Talk that it would be helpful to be able to white list a site that they erroneously think is dangerous? Thank you again.

Thank you so much for the support @ferguson
Hi there @yhoughes I do not believe there is a way we can whitelist the website as it is not blocked by kids safe. however, by virus alert which blocks websites infected with viruses. I would advise that you turn the setting off while you access the website and once you are done with your work, you can turn the setting back on.

I don't use any TalkTalk security features. I use Avast on my MacBook.

Thank you - yes, as far as I can tell there isn't advice on how to white list a website that is blocked by the Homesafe protocol and I am stumped. When you say you don't use it - is that because you don't use the Talk Talk Virus protection or that you have another management tool? Thank you.

OK, so HomeSafe? I don't use it myself, but instructions are available here:

I should add that the site was blocked before it was SSL certificated. Also, it is blocked on my laptop and desktop and I am certain it is being blocked by TAlk Talk as I can access it from my phone on 5G or if virus alerts are turn off in my settings on Talk Talk website

Can you advise what the website is? When you mean turning off virus alerts which application are you using?
