I have had alot of issues recently with suspicious emails and strange goings on with my phone, ipad and now laptop. Every time i try to get in to my routers security settings I am denied access due to "technical issues". Perhaps I am being paranoid but I don't seem to be able to follow the prescribed actions whatever I try. thoughts? It is a D link and had it for years.

Thanks for that. Shame I've been lumbered with an out of date device for so long. Its more reassuring though.

Check the list of unsupported devices, @jibbering7.

https://help-centre.talktalk.co.uk/Broadband/Security/Telecoms_Security_Act_Unsupported_devices

You should have had an email about it last year. If it's actually faulty, staff can replace it, but need to check with diagnostics first.

If you are due to renew your contract soon, you can get it replaced for free.

There's a charge simply to replace it if it's not showing a fault and you have more than 4 months to go in your minimum term contract.

Staff will be back on here during the week to check it out.
