I can suddenly only get BBC channels.  I am unable to get ITV , channel 4 or 5, just the BBC channels.  Everything was OK until tonight.

That's good news. Thanks for letting us know.

Thanks for your help.  I have managed to retune the channels a couple of times to the you view box and now have all channels working without any disturbance.  Not sure if that fixed it, or the signal picked up, even thought someone locally could have been using something that caused interference, but anyway that problem has been sorted for now.  Thanks

As this is also affecting your TV signal, it could one one of 2 issues, weather pressure related or your aerial has developed a fault.

If its the former then your signal will come back. If its an aerial fault you will need to consult a local engineer to look at your system.

Is it possible to check with neighbours who use Freeview? If they too have an issue then you will know its weather related and unfortunately you will need to wait for an improvement.

It's best if weather related, not to do a retune as you could lose even more channels. Usually weather related affects HD  and "minor" channels first. The main five on channels 1-5 can sometimes be better.

Hope this helps, but at least youve ruled out the box as being faulty.

I have an old You View box.  Just tried again, the channels are there, but very distorted, a very bad signal, but only on ITV, 4 and 5.  Sky and BBC are OK.  Moved the aerial from the You View box and out it directly into the TV, and only managed a message telling me I had a bad signal

What box do you have?

Is it all channels or just HD ones?

What happens if you plug the aerial directly into the TV? Do you get sll channels on there?
