I have noticed recently that Ch 4 programmes are not recording on my Huawei box when requested, however, Ch + 1 does record.
This recording issue has been raised before but as far as I know a solution has not yet been found.
Help please.

As @Karl-TalkTalk has said this issue persists.
I'm now in the habit of using Film 4 +1 when want a film these days as Film 4 also fails.
It's been a while since I recorded anying on C4 but it might be with trying +1.
By the way I'm using a BT pro box so the latest iteration of the YouView recording box, and it's affecting all versions of boxes.

Hi
The issue is still with channel 4, and the older legacy youview boxes are no longer supported by some broadcasters.
Thanks
Karl.

Hi, Things appear not to have changed. About the only thing I record on Ch4 is the grand prix series, and it regularly fails which is frustrating.
The YouView forum has closed (since 30-10-24) so that avenue has vanished.
Just for the record, signal quality is near 100% on the TV from the same antenna. I assume that it does not use the internet as it is an off-air recording, but the internet is also good (on the TV anyway) and permanently connected.
I have cleared the disk, removed most of the previous recordings on it, retuned the box but still it fails to record sometimes.
This seems to have been a thing with Ch4 for some time.
Is there any news on how resolving the issue is getting along

Thank you very much.

This has been reported to YouView and they have been able to replicate the issue.
This may not be an issue with the box, but with the owners of the Mux on which C4 is broadcast and YouView and the Mux owners are investigating.
There is a thread on the YouView forum where a TalkTalk customer has been helping with the investigation into this issue.
I'm afraid it's a wait and see situation.
