Hi,

Appreciate that TalkTalk, like others, are keen to push new streaming TV Hub boxes, but does anyone know if replacement hard drive recording boxes are available directly from TalkTalk?

Thanks

It would let you watch tv and that was about it .Trying to get  help from talktalk was like getting blood from a stone,my better half had loads of recordings on  the box  but she had to lose them from a full factory restore.Box now works perfect.Thank you for taking the time  to put a solution on.

Hi @rlwoufc1

Late to the party here, but has your existing box totally failed or are you having issues with it?

You may be able to rescue it by carrying out a maintenance reset. Please see here for details.

You also might find this discussion thread in the Lounge of interest if you are after a recordable TV Box.

@SilverFox22, if you are no longer able to use the TV services as the old box is no longer supplied and you don't want a new one, you need to ring in to actually cancel the TV charge.

Any further issues, please return to the message board and click start a topic to begin your own thread.

No, but you will need to proactively ask them for the TV service to be cancelled. They will then likely ask you to return the TV Hub.

Thanks for the reply. If I buy a recordable box from a third party will I still have to subscribe £5/mth to TalkTalk TV?

Not unless you buy your own recording box via retail.

I also have taken delivery of the new TV hub and really would like to be able to record programmes, can anybody suggest a workaround?

Cheers.

It's just the TV hub that's available these days, @rlwoufc1.

They are not selling anything separately:
