You might find this discussion thread in the Lounge of interest if you are after a recordable TV Box.

Not without external storage of some kind attached.

@Simtech as @Gliwmaeden2 has said, please start your own thread and I'll happily give you some alternatives you still buy from retail outlets and you can then return the Hub and save £2.50 / £5 a month towards your own box.

Thanks yes I wondered about that , actually they now only charging £2.50 instead of £5 a month no wonder it looked like a bargain! I notice the hub does allow pause and rewind on lots of channels so might keep it as sometimes I see a program has already started and you can rewind to start as long as it’s less than 30-45 mins?

@Simtech, if you have no use for the hub, contact Talktalk directly for a returns bag to send it back, but also to get the £5 charge removed from your billing.

Yes I wasn’t told I would lose the recording feature when I renewed my contract and had to replace my 4K tv box for the new TV Hub ( stream only) . Strangely the 4K tv box stopped recording programs 2 days after I renewed my contract. I too used it to flick past the many adverts! Soooo disappointing this hub is now no different to my smart Sony tv!

Hi

The TalkTalk TV Hub cannot record, you would have to source your own freeview recorder to record live TV Programs.

Thanks

Karl.
