Depends on the box you have been sent. It it's the TV Hub, you can't record. If it's the Netgem 4k box, you need to insert a usb stick to record. You can't record while watching another unless to provide a separate feed to the TV and watch this.
If you still have your old box, you can hook this up and use it to record, but again will need a separate aerial feed.
