Setting up your TalkTalk TV 4K Box for recording is really simple. Please see Recording on TalkTalk TV for our simple set up instructions and information on how to record.

If you've forgotten your PIN that was set during the initial setup of your box, you'll need to either request a new Master PIN or reset  your device.

Master PIN request

Please contact us to request a new Master PIN. Once you've received this you'll need to update it on your TV box within 24 hours by following these simple steps:

  1. Press the Home button on your remote
  2. Select Settings
  3. Select Parental Settings
  4. Enter your new Master PIN and select Modify PIN
  5. Set a new 4 digit PIN for your TV Box

Reset your device

If you complete a reset you'll lose all your custom settings, reminders and credentials of 'On Demand' apps during a factory reset. You'll also lose any recorded programmes along with any scheduled recordings. We only recommend a factory reset as a last resort.

To reset your device,

  1. Press the  Home button on your remote
  2. Select Settings
  3. Select Advanced
  4. Enter your PIN
  5. Select Reset settings

Alternatively, to reset your box you can also press the small square reset button on the side of the TV box five (5) times.

After you’ve reset your box you’ll need to complete the setup wizard by following the onscreen steps and enter a new 4 digit PIN for your TV box.

From the end of January 2022, the ITV Hub app will no longer be supported on YouView Generation 1 devices which includes the TalkTalk TV Plus Box model DN370T. ITV are upgrading their content protection technology, and this new technology can’t run on this TV box.

Why is this happening?

ITV need to upgrade their content protection technology as it's important because it allows ITV to keep all your favourite shows on ITV Hub copyright safe.

Without a fresh and modern content protection stream, ITV are unable to bring you more of the great telly you know and love.

Will I still be able to access the ITV Hub app after January?

The ITV Hub app will still be available on the TalkTalk TV Plus box model DN370T for a little while after the new content protection technology arrives in January 2022.

However, from this point you will miss out on any new shows on ITV Hub, and all other shows will gradually start to disappear off the app as they expire. Eventually the ITV Hub app will be removed from Generation 1 devices including the TalkTalk TV Plus box model DN370T.

I still want to use ITV Hub. What can I do?

We’d hate for you to miss out on your favourite ITV shows, so we recommend you head to another device that’s available to you. ITV Hub is available to browse and watch on multiple other platforms such as mobile, tablet, desktop, and connected TV. Alternatively, please contact us to talk about upgrading your TalkTalk TV box.

To access on mobile or tablet, please download the ITV Hub app available on the Apple Store and Google Play. To access on desktop, visit www.itv.com.
