Cancel my new contract within 14 days, just put on hold for ever...

Hello, I'm trying to cancel my new TalkTalk 12 months contract, which I took out on the 24th March 2023. It's within the 14 day cooling off period and I'm stuck on the phone and it's going nowhere. Eventually I've got a date for the cancelation and its 26th April 2023. I'm concerned that this will go over the 14 day cooling off period and I'll be charged the full £10.80 per month.
Can someone please just cancel my new contract for me as the lady on the phone keeps putting me on hold for 20 mins at a time.
By far the worst customer service experience I've ever experienced.
Thank you

You must cancel by phone, @ibastavd.
Talktalk support staff on the forum are not authorised for this, but can check it's going through correctly.
If you are within the 14 day cooling off period they should honour it, even if they take 30 days to cancel the service. Staff should clarify the charges for what you use so far.
Moving this to the billing section for you.
Gliwmaeden2, a fellow customer.
