Hi all,
My current package is Fibre 65 at £27pm fixed until October 2026.
Email (attached) says a doubling in on speed to Full Fibre 150 (I presume) with no change in current contract, phone number or price - Along with Digital Voice.
But I'm guessing it's not a upgrade within my current contract and will be a new 24 month contract with price increasing each April with inflation
Does anyone have any experience with this? What does it actually entail with regards to price, term length. The email is not very clear.
Thanks in advance

Thanks Billx
I'll look into the "Got a question"
It was from info@fullfibre.talktalk.co.uk
Thanks

Hi, @Nat301263
The email you received covers almost everything.
One thing it doesn't show, (because you received it on a mobile phone) is who sent you the email. TalkTalk, or CityFibre.
But it does have a section, 'Got a question?' with a phone number, that you can call, to ask the question, that you are asking here.

No problem thank you for your help.
If someone from the TT support team can just confirm if this would be brand new contract once accepted or just a continuation of my current contract, price renewal date etc just with the faster speeds and new hub / FTTP line.
Thanks in advance

There have been many instances of customers being upgraded with no change in contract and there are likely to be many more as the closedown of the old copper network continues. The email seems perfectly clear to me. And the historic link you posted bears that out. You can of course wait for the support team to comment, but I doubt there will be much they can add.

I have but they from forums a years ago where a talktalk customer bill went up after upgraded to FTTP following the same email. It is the last comment on the comment section.
Do you know what other customers experiences have been?

Have you got any examples of this? I honestly cannot recall seeing any such issues.

Thanks for reply 🙂
I guess I'm asking becusee I've read multiple people receiving the same email only to be told that once it's all installed they've a new contract with new price.
Basically trying to hook you into a new contract without giving you the full details.
There's no reason they would offer a free upgrade without getting something in return at some point down the line.
Again if the email was clearer with specific information relating to my current package then fine but it doesn't.

It clearly states "no change in current contract," so why are you guessing otherwise?
I am moving this to the Billing section, as it is not a service issue.
