Unsolicited Cease notice

Hopefully someone can help.

I tried to move to Now broadband in January as I was out of contract and the price has risen by £10.

The transfer failed.

Now tried again in February and that failed.

I was away most of March but near the end of March I tried to move to Plusnet.

That again failed.

TalkTalk are saying I have an Unsolicited Cease Notice on my line, generated by Sky, and I cannot move to anyone else until this is removed.

I gave TalkTalk the authority to remove the Cease Notice but they refused.

I have spoken at length to Now (part of Sky) and Sky who say they did not generate this cease request and cannot remove it.

So I am stuck tied to TalkTalk with no means of getting free.

Has anyone else had this issue?

Can  anyone suggest a solution?

Thanks,Michael

Hi sondek02

I will speak to our provisioning team to get the stuck migration order removed from the line.

Sorry for any inconvenience caused.

You will probably have to wait until at least tomorrow, we are still in the Easter weekend.

OK I have done this but no replies yet.

I seem to remember being asked when I took out the TalkTalk contract if I was happy to have an Internet phone line.

I said yes because this was the cheapest option.

Could this be why another supplier cannot get the phone line ?

Also I am out of contract.

If I renewed my contract would this get rid of the cease ?

If you would like the support team to look into this for you make sure that your personal details including TalkTalk phone number and/or account number are complete on your community profile (click here) so that they can link your forum identity with your account and then wait for them to respond.
