About six months ago open reach laid over ground fibre down my street. One of the poles on which is is strung is about 30 yards from my house. I have FTTC with a copper connection about half a mile to the cabinet. So my question is what are my options regrading getting fibre to the property or bridging the fibre from the pole to my copper connection. Can talk talk offer anything in this respect? Very hard to find any information on the talk talk site on this sort of stuff.

It doesn't always follow that, just because it is in the ground, it is actually available right now from Talktalk in particular. It might be available through other providers.
You just need to do a postcode check.
