I have fttp broadband connection with copper phone line. A year ago (Jan 2025), Talktalk asked me by letter what I would like to happen to my phone in light of the change to Digital Voice. I requested Full Fibre with Digital Voice. This week I have received two new Sagecom routers (model 1981E7 ?) with phone port by post from Talktalk.
As I already have an Eero router this is somewhat unexpected, I was thinking I would receive an analogue to Digital adapter like the Grand stream HT801, to use with the Eero. I don't know the spec of the new Sagecom but suspect it is intherior to the Eero so using it as a full replacement would seem a backwards move. I have also read about using 2 routers in bridge mode but seems a solution unnecessarily heavy with hardware.
Can anyone tell me if I can return the Sagecom and be supplied with an adapter/Grand stream ?
