There is a very good chance staff will update your router firmware if you start your own topic on the forum. To avoid confusion, they generally only reply to the OP of the thread and this one being over a year old will certainly not be in their current workflow any more anyway.
You should also update your forum profile with your personal details and your TalkTalk landline number in order that they are able to identify your account (don't post personal details on the thread though).
Also bear in mind that support on this forum is not "real time" and staff will likely not be back at work until after the holiday weekend so it may take a few days to get a reply.

Hi folks,
So glad I've found this messageboard after lots of head scratching. I have the same same router with my contract and have been experiencing the same issue with on average of a once a day system reboot due to ',AlarmLevel:Error,Device reset. Cause: System reset due to kernel panic'. Is there any chance of a firmware fix? Software version is running as v1.05t.
Many thanks in advance.

Hi @sirsimonuk,
This is a known issue that affects a small number of Huawei DG8041W routers running firmware version 1.05t, when the staff here are back next week they will be able to push firmware version 1.06t to your router, that will fix this issue for you.
