I find that whenever I use my TalkTalk account to try to access www.reddit.com, that I am presented with the message:
The connection was reset.
Try:

https://www.reddit.com/r/london defaults to https://www.reddit.com
https://np.reddit.com/r/london/ goes to exactly https://np.reddit.com/r/london/
So, yes, they seem to be different domains
and my system goes to either, with no issue.

Thanks to the respondents but this issue has now been identified.
I had thought that this might have been a case of TalkTalk blocking https://www.reddit.com/r/london
Rather, I have found out that it is necessary for me to use addresses like https://np.reddit.com/r/london/
So, perhaps others will find this post useful.

@amahle-TT Does this seem like an issue with TalkTalk or something else entirely?
I have checked Windows Firewall settings and sundry other applications. But the problem affects all browsers on the two PCs I use to connect to TalkTalk. The router settings do not indicate anything being wrong either.
Of the websites I use normally, it is only https://www.reddit.com that seems to be affected in this way. Hence, my query about TalkTalk blocking websites.

Thank you for confirming.

@amahle-TT I could access https://www.reddit.com without any problems at all.
on 21-11-2025 03:18 PM
you were able to open the site before?
on 21-11-2025 03:16 PM
@amahle-TT This must have started about three weeks ago.

@amahle-TT An interesting idea concerning AdBlock. But switching it off does not change anything.
on 21-11-2025 02:55 PM
Please confirm if you have Ad Blocker on.

@amahle-TT The message I see is described in the first post I made to this thread. I see nothing that explicitly states that https://www.reddit.com is being blocked.
on 21-11-2025 02:51 PM
Thank you, do you see a blocked webpage notification message when attempting to access the site you experience problems with?
on 21-11-2025 02:47 PM
@amahle-TT No. I have nothing of this nature.

Do you have any active monitoring for life threatening health reasons which is solely dependant upon your TalkTalk Broadband or Telephone line?
For example a care alarm, lifeline, health pendant or fall detector.
on 21-11-2025 02:40 PM
@amahle-TT Yes. I am currently at home.
