Hi,

I joined TalkTalk 1 month ago and since day one the web-connection has been constantly interrupted. We are talking about 5 mins interruption evert 20-30 mins.

The error seems to be the same every time - The DNS server is not responding.
I tried all the methods provided in the website but nothing has changed.

Can you please provide some help? I am using the network for work....

Kind Regards

Hi Debbie,

I started using the new router and things are working smoothly for now.

I noticed that interruptions are now occurring only when I connect many devices at the same time (around 6-8)

Apart from that it is working fine for now.

Thank you very much for taking actions in such a short notice.

Hi kohatzii

The router is on its way, please allow 24-48hrs for this to arrive.

Let us know how the connection compares with this router.

Thanks

Debbie

Hi Debbie,

I saw a few similar posts and it looks like the line is not the problem. It is the router that causes the issue. In particular the connection with the DNS seever is lost although the network/line are still active. If you believe that a new router will do the work, then yes please send me one..

I look forward to your response.

Thanks.

Hi kohatzii

Thanks for your reply.

The line test is clear no faults detected.

Would you like me to send a different router for testing to see how the connection compares?

Thanks

Debbie

Hi kohatzii

I'm sorry for the delay.

I'm unable to connect to your router. Which router are you using? (make and model)

Thanks

Debbie

Hi Gliwmaeden2,

i went through similar posts (apparently there are too many people with the same problem) and the only answer that keeps coming up is that a new router is under oder???
Is there any other way to overpass this problem because I could not find anything.

Thank you for your prompt reply.
