My internet has been lost over 1 day, the modem #2 green light has kept blinking (updating?) and the router has kept a solid amber light. I ran a connection test 2 hours ago, it detected a fault & needed me to book an engineer appointment. The engineer appointment will probably cost me £65. Could you check the status before I book the appointment?

Morning,

I'm sorry for the delay. How are you getting on?

Thanks

OK, is that a City Fibre connection by any chance with a black ONT box on the wall? If so, the flashing green light means it is it trying to  connect to the network.  Try switching it off for a full 30 minutes, along with the router. Then switch the ONT back on and see if the green light becomes steady. If so, switch on the router again and hopefully you will be good to go. Let us know how you get on either way.

Which service do you have? Engineer appointments are not chargeable if there is a fault on the external network.
