Hi -
After many months of seemingly trouble free performance I have started to have "Kernel Panic" disconnections on my DG8041W "super" router.
The message I get is :-
1981-01-01 00:00:10 [Error][Alarm-Log] AlarmID:104001,AlarmLevel:Error,Device reset. Cause: System reset due to kernel panic, Terminal:OTHER
Started a few weeks ago, one every couple of days, then once every day and finally two or three drops a day.
Tried a 30+ minute power cycle - no difference.
Tried a factory pin reset - no difference.
My understanding is that this problem can be resolved by a firmware upgrad to V1.06t.
Would it be possible to perform the firmware upgrade ? My router is connected 24x7.
Also slightly strangely - for security I always change the router admin password. After this pin reset the router would not accept a change to the password I had been using ever since I first installed the unit, and was using right up to the pin reset. Has there been any minor firmware upgrades which did not effect the major version number which may have caused this ?

Three and a half days days since the firmware upgrade and I have had 100% availability.
So thanks for your support and I will mark the thread as "solved".

OK cheers @Debbie-TalkTalk
From my logs the firmware upgrade was just before 08:00 - so many thanks for that.
Router seems to be running very, very slightly faster, but that could be down to the "quiet time" reboot.
Thanks again.

Hi @Garton2019,
v1.06t will resolve the kernel panic issue, the support team won't be back until Monday, but should be able to update your firmware early next week.
