Loss of internet connectivity - No broadband but router still connected

For the last week, I have been losing internet connectivity 2 or 3 times a day.
Every time, the router is still showing a white light, and wifi is still working within the house.
Rebooting the router fixes the problem, but this is only temporary and not a fix.
I cannot easily access the logs, I can see the first page and as soon as I try to navigate to page 2, the router kicks me back to the login screen which is not helpful.
What I do see are lots of failed DNS enquiries - for addresses which I know exist and should not get DNS errors.
Any solution please? I cant keep switching off and on the router several times a day and without the logs it is hard to determine what happens before each failure.
Thanks

Hi @mgw70
Apologies for this.
Our engineers are investigating this issue and they have asked if you can try the below:
Change your router DNS settings to use Google DNS.
- Open your web browser, type http://192.168.1.1 into the address bar and press Enter
- Enter the username admin (in lowercase) and password (you'll find this on the removable settings card on the back of the Hub, and select OK
- Select See internet settings
- Select Manage advanced settings
- Select TalkTalk WiFi Hub
- Select DNS Tab
- Make sure ON is enabled
- Add Primary and Secondary DNS Servers ( Primary = 8.8.8.8 Secondary = 8.8.4.4 )
- Select Apply
Please note ; If you currently use any Homesafe services such as Homework Time etc. This will not work whilst you have the DNS set to Google.

This is happening to me too, just posted my own thread and by looking through others we’re not alone and talktalk is sending new routers so have requested one myself, been a very frustrating weekend and potentially won’t be fixed till we get a new router which is frustrating.
A farthing
