So yesterday my broadband stopped working, it is obviously the hub as everything else checks out, talk talk won’t send me a new one they want to send an engineer to correct my fault or fit a new hub, they want me to take time off to meet the engineer and if I fail to be here will charge me 75 for the pleasure, I’m three months from the end of my term but they won’t let me move to a new provider without charging me the three months still to run, although I don’t have any service from them as it stopped working, I’ve tried to set up a new provider but it keeps failing, no one will answer the phone and the online chat just says they are busy 

seems the customer service from talk talk has gone now lets hope the ombudsman can sort them out

Well this is a bit of a shock, after telling the chat team my hub was broken and being told that I would need an engineer to call out and if I missed the appointment I would be charged £79, the Admin from the forum arranged a new router, delivered yesterday, plugged in by my wife then a phone call to tell me that the internet was working ok, what a shock there, imagine a customer being right.

so for the simplest of things they have lost a long time customer, Thankyou to the admin team on here who saw some common sense and arranged the router

Hi Chris 

this is what I requested yesterday, I cannot even see the router listed on WiFi networks that is why I am certain it’s the router and why I said send me a replacement to quickly solve my issue, the call handler refused instead insisting the only way to sort out my problem was to send an engineer, now I am two days without internet, have had to get a sim to run the house and cannot get through on the phone 

if you can send a replacement router that would be easiest to confirm if that is the problem or not, had they agreed yesterday I would be sorted by now

No other issues the phone line is fine, cannot even see the router it just flashes orange all the time tried the two hour chat this morning, the router has been flaky for some time ive had to keep reconnecting to it to get internet then yesterday after it told me the password was wrong whic( it wasn’t it was gone

OK, have you got any issues with your voice service such as noise on the line? Have you tried connecting the hub directly at the test socket?
