Router Optimisation

It seems that the router optimisation has been switched back on on my router as it now states AUTO on the channel selection. This unfortunately ensures that it optimises itself to the same channel as next door's wifi, which decreases the download speed on my desktop to less than 2Megs. Whoever switched it on could you please switch it OFF again so that I can select a channel with no interference
