This is not quite the same question as other similar questions.
I've read a few posts from people who've upgraded to Fibre65 and been sent the exact same SAGEM FAST35364 router which they already have.
Why on Earth are they sending out new, identical routers when the old ones are not reported as faulty?
Surely this doesn't make good business sense?
Unless, they have a stockpile of these SAGEMCOM routers to get shot of as the newest router is about to be distributed?

Not really, but it's great to justifiably let off steam. Thanks.
My point was the poor business sense, but of course I don't believe you can influence policy!
Sometimes, the TalkTalk volunteers are on the wrong end of it, is all.
Thanks for listening.

Hi
I'm sorry, do you have an issue with your service you would like to report?

Operating costs are paid out from income raised from user subscriptions.
Never mind. We don't want to look up a database of what router teh user has: let's just send him another one. The user will pay because the alternative is ... no better.

Hi
Routers are supplied to TalkTalk from the manufacturer as part of our operating costs. We do not charge the customer for the use of the router.
Thanks
Karl.

Who's paying for the router?
on 14-04-2023 11:48 AM
Hi
The router is provided to receive the broadband service, you are not paying rental for the router.
If you are unhappy with the router, customers are free to use their own router.
Thanks
Karl.

Somebody's paying for the router. The manufacturer didn't make it and give it to TalkTalk for free.
Since I represent part of TalkTalk's income stream, I am paying for the router.
My internet fees are extortionate as a result of this kind of sloppy business attitude.

Hi
You are not being charged for the router, but if there is equipment you need to return, let us know if you need a returns bag and we can send one.
Thanks
Karl.

Will you be able to arrange a return of whatever I paid for it?
on 13-04-2023 11:28 PM
There's a possibility you're missing the point. I'm PAYING for it. So are you.
In fact, I could argue I was SOLD it because I was told I was getting the new uprated router.
I'd happily take the cost of the router off my monthly bill.

Hi kdmcm
Have you received another router? Would you like me to order a returns bag so a router can be returned?
on 06-04-2023 11:03 PM
If you have received a router which you don't need then feel free to send it back. There may be a returns bag in the box, if not let us know and the support team can arrange for one to be sent to you.
