Hi - can you help please.

 

Almost every day I get download speeds of less than 1Mbps via wifi and wired connection until I restart the router, then I immediately get around 20 Mbps.

The Service Centre reports router speeds of 30Mbps on the daily checks.

 

Can someone advise what to do.

Hi @Debbie-TalkTalk and @Chris-TalkTalk - I have swapped out the router and had the same problems again where speed was fine in the morning and then dropped to 0.7Mb in the late afternoon based on 'speed test' .

I've reset it now and will let you know if it happens again.

Hi @Debbie-TalkTalk  - the delivery of the new router was super quick, thank you.  I have been away for a bit of Christmas and know that I need to reset the wifi name when I plug it so I haven't done that yet.

Hi @GardenMike,

 

What make / model of router do you have ?

 

The support team here on the community will be able to help when they return tomorrow, if they did suspect a fault with the router they would be able to arrange a replacement for you, however there may be some other checks they can do first to see if there might be some other cause.
