I am writing this message for two reasons. To see if I can get any help and to have more written evidence that I am trying to cancel my talk talk contract.
I have been trying for weeks to cancel my contract with talk talk. When I moved house, I wanted to try a new broadband provider and went with talk talk. Biggest mistake!! The speeds are so slow and no one can use the wifi in our home. I called to cancel several times during the cooling off period. First they said I should give it two weeks, then they said there is nothing they could do. I tried calling to cancel several more times and kept getting hung up on. I finally called to cancel and got through and was told to upgrade to full fibre that this would help. Since then, I cannot tell you how many times they have pushed my go live date. Sometimes they do not even tell me. I wait for the engineer and no one turns up.
I had enough and called to cancel everything and move on to a new provider. THEY KEPT HANGING UP AS SOON AS I SAID I WANTED TO LEAVE. When I finally got through to someone they said they would cancel and I would get an email in a few days as confirmation. NO EMAIL RECEIVED. I called again and was told I never called to cancel in the first place.
It seems like no one at the customer service team actually know what they are doing. If you ever actually get through to anyone. They just keep endlessly passing you on to someone else and nothing is done. I cannot tell you the amount of my time has been wasted by this company.
Every time I call to complain or cancel during their cooling off period the call end up cutting the phone before I even say anything more. It’s like the people working there have been told to hang up when someone has a complaint or wishes to cancel. I literally feel trapped in this contract.
My question is, what do I do when I cannot get through to someone on the phone? I have called what seems like millions of times. I go through all the verification and say that I want to cancel my contract. As soon as that is said, they hang up. Mind you, when I was on the phone to sort out the full fibre upgrade, the call was not cut short then. When I finally do get through to someone, I get lots of waffling on the phone and nothing is done. This is the cancellation team by the way.

Have you tried phoning 03451 720074, the Future Fibre team?

You cannot cancel via Chat, but you could try reaching them for them to track the record/progress of your cancellation.
