I have tried to access my router settings, but am unable to even log onto the Talktalk router page as it doesn't recognise username and password?

Can you double check the password as there are 2 on the back of most routers and sometimes people get the muddled.
Just to check you are a TalkTalk customer and not a Shell one before you take the next step.
If you think you may have changed your passwords then you can reset the router to factory settings which will reset the passwords for both Admin and the internet. To do this use a pin in the pinhole on the back of the router until it restarts. The dashboard should then accept the router password.
Let us know how you get on.
PS if you are a Shell customer, their routers are different and you will need to phone and speak to the Shell Migration Team.
