Work VPN connection not working

I have recently tried to connect to my work VPN on my laptop, which was previously working, but now receive this error message:

"The VPN connection between you computer and the VPN server could not be completed. The most common cause for this failure is that at least one internet device (for example, a firewall or router) between your computer and the VPN server is not configured to allow Generic Routing Encapsulation (GRE) protocol packets. If the problem persists, contact your network administrator or Internet Service Provider.

I see this is a common issue, but I've not seen a way to resolve it.

We are on Fibre 65 Broadband

Hi,

If you still need assistance can you please update your community profile to include your:

  • Name
  • Telephone number
  • Alternative contact number

We'll then look into this further. Please do not post this information on this thread. Once you've updated your profile please post in your topic to confirm it's updated.

Thanks

Chris

Hi,

Firstly, could you please change your username to remove the personal information shown. Thank you.

Second, youu are in the staff's queue for a response.
For a quicker reply can you please ensure you have your personal information up to date in your profile including your TalkTalk landline phone number so your account can be traced. Link here - https://community.talktalk.co.uk/t5/user/myprofilepage/tab/personal-profile:personal-info
If you are unsure of your phone number, you can find this in My Account or dial 17070 from your landline phone and this will confirm the number for you.
Please post back when done.
Thank you
