no internet connection with my television

Message 11 of 11

for two days now I have been unable to access iplayer on my television and the router lights flash.  I have re-booted the router twice and have switched wifi on my television many many times.  Immediately i have gone to the television there is a statement that I have no internet connection.

I have tried to speak to someone at talktalk to no avail.

I do not want to spend another day trying to sort this out and my view is that the router has failed.

please send a new one

for a while there has been an indication that an engineer! is replying.  apparently there is fault.  Please sort something out

Hi Rose,

The connection itself looks ok, the line tests are clear.

The router you have is 7 years old, so does need replacing.

I've a new router on the way to you, and this should arrive within 48hrs.

Thanks

Karl.

Hi

Can you please update your Community Profile to include your

  • Name
  • TalkTalk Telephone number or Account number

We'll then look into this further. Please do not post this information on this thread. Once you've updated your profile please post in your topic to confirm it's updated.

Thanks

Karl

I have had no internet connection with my television since Wednesday of this week.  I can still use my laptop and no other appliances required your router.  I have re-booted the router twice with no success, green buttons flash on the router and I have connected my televisioun to wi fi many times but as soon as I go the actual screen there is no connection

there has been a message about a fault.  I have had no success in correcting the problem which I hope you have already read.  However I will confirm that other than my laptop there are no other appliances connected to the internet.

Hi

Is the internet working correctly from your laptop ?  Is this connected to the router wired or via Wi-Fi ?

Thanks

Karl.

Hi

Do you have any other devices that use internet, tablets, phones etc, and are these able to access via the router ?

Thanks

Karl.
