I need to connect to www.raterhub.com on my pc for my work. If I try on the pc it just times out, if I connect using my phone through wifi it's the same, however, if I use my phones data it connects fine (I can not use my phone for work though).
Have Talktalk suddenly started blocking the one website I need for my work?

Hi @Chris-TalkTalk
It's the same, however, I think I have further tracked the problem down to using a different Chrome profile to access my work, although I've been through all the chrome settings and can't see any obvious differences in the profiles... both are logged into Google and are not using incognito mode or anything like that.
Very strange, but for the minute I'll just have to continue using googles DNS.

@Karl-TalkTalk it's just happened again, page wont load with obtain dns automatically, works with googles...
on 25-03-2022 03:08 PM
Hi
Not sure why this happened, and no changes have been made here that I'm aware of. I tested the site earlier on my own line and it was working correctly so I don't think it was the site itself. There may have been a local routing issue. If it fails again, run a few traceroutes to the site and keep hold of these so we can see if they show any issues.
Karl.

@Karl-TalkTalk any idea why this happened? And if it happens again would it likely be fixed by changing dns again?

Hi
Glad to hear it's working now.
Regards,
Karl.

It appears to be working with yours now also
on 25-03-2022 02:19 PM
Hi skoobz
No changes have been made. Is it working with our DNS too?
on 25-03-2022 02:14 PM
@Debbie-TalkTalk did you do something your end, it has now opened? I changed dns to googles about 10 mins ago...
on 25-03-2022 01:02 PM
I'll try again in 10 mins got Tesco at the door
on 25-03-2022 12:56 PM
Hi skoobz
Did it work using Google DNS?
on 25-03-2022 12:55 PM
yes I tried it through googles thanks
on 25-03-2022 12:53 PM
Hi skoobz
We wouldn't block this. Have you tried a different DNS (just for testing)
on 25-03-2022 12:48 PM
thanks @Debbie-TalkTalk , no I do not have a different router I'm afraid, but can not see why a router would suddenly start blocking one specific website? The website works on my phone data, so it's definitely not the site that has an issue, it is being blocked by something at talktalk, just like last time.
on 25-03-2022 12:44 PM
Hi skoobz
Thanks for testing this. We are unable to replicate this issue.
Do you have a different router that you can test with?
on 25-03-2022 12:28 PM
it's the same on a different browser and yes I have cleared cache/cookies
on 25-03-2022 12:25 PM
Hi,
Have you also tried clearing the browser history/cache and tested again? Does it happen on a different browser?
Thanks
on 25-03-2022 11:37 AM
@Debbie-TalkTalk thanks, no they have not changed, all off still
