I get this message when I try and email my own address

550 - 550 5.7.1 Reject for policy reason

Do you mean from within TalkTalk webmail, emailing from your own address to your own address?

If that's the case, the system has lost its mind a bit.

Mine has done that in the past, but works OK now.

A solution would have been to 'Allowlist' your own email address, but the system does not allow that,

The other thing, try entering your address in the address book.
