My email address is ******@talktalk.net and I cannot send emails to yahoo email addresses and I do not receive a rejection message. I've used Glock Apps to test and it reports that talktalk.net is a blocked ip address.
It suggests...
Your sender domain does not have a valid SPF record Sender domain: talktalk.net
SPF record: v=spf1 a mx include:spf.shared.xion.oxcs.net include:_spf.talktalk.net ~all
Error: Warning: no mx record found for domain _spf.talktalk.net. This rule will not be applied;Warning: a no A (AAA) record found for domain _spf.talktalk.net;
To fix SPF errors follow these steps:
- Check SPF record for your domain talktalk.net using GlockApps SPF Validator.
- Correct your SPF record according to the protocol syntax.
Any suggestions?

I'm also having problems sending TalkTalk emails to a Yahoo email address. I can receive emails from the Yahoo address but my emails and replies are not being received. Also, I am not receiving non-delivery reports. I do not have this problem when sending from Gmail. Help would be appreciated please.

Hi Gearboxes, it seems that you have an AOL.CO.UK address as the alternate email for password resets. If you'd like me to change those reset details please provide the alternate email address you'd prefer to use and a mobile number so that you will have 2 choices.

Tonight when I went to log in for some reason TalkTalk placed an AOL address of mine in the verification form and sent the verification number to that AOL account which means that whatever domain the community uses is sending emails from TalkTalk mail to AOL mail so it is possible. This is making life so difficult especially when your companies are all part of the same wider group. I do not want to use Gmail as it will be another thing that Google runs in my life but whilst I want to stay with TalkTalk and AOL I am thinking it is time to migrate at least one to Gmail and get a grown up service. As you can tell I am less than happy as when this same situation arose a year or so ago, thinking the problem was mine, I spent hours changing profiles and reloading applications and generally messing my PC up and causing myself loads of work only to find it was a spat between TalkTalk and Yahoo (AOL). If I migrate the TalkTalk address it will be one more reason not to renew my broadband contract in the new year. Surely this should be sorted out at a higher level as it is poor business for the three companies.

Hi Gearboxes, it doesn't matter how you send mail to Yahoo, Sky or AOL domains from TalkTalk email until Yahoo lift the restrictions you won't be able to send mail to Yahoo, Sky or AOL domains.

03.11.2024 ...... For the past week or so I have been having a similar problem with my xxxxxxX@talktalk.net email. I can send emails to recipients other than AOL and Yahoo. The AOL and Yahoo emails are sent from Outlook but do not arrive and there is no non-delivery notice. This happened a year or so ago but did get resolved after a couple of weeks. It does seem a bit pathetic especially as all these companies are linked. It would be good if TalkTalk would sort out the certificate problems or whatever is causing "the computer says no" situation. It is a real pain having to find an alternative email manager. Emails from AOL and Yahoo arrive in my inbox from the people I am trying to send to. I notice that there is a suggestion to use Webmail so I logged in and sent an email from xxxxxxx@talktalk.net to my own AOL account and that did not arrive either.

Hi all, networks have confirmed that Yahoo/Sky are deferring or blocking TalkTalk emails due to unexpected volume or customer complaints. Our network team have reported it to them, but customers of sky yahoo would be wise to report the issue to them so that they can adjust the filters to compensate.
