Talktalk email & webmail: On my PC and on webmail I cannot send an email to just one recipient. Email address is correct. Error message says 'too many recipients'.
Any ideas what is going on, anyone?
Thank you.

Hi. The next time it happens I will be more careful to take note of the error code.
Also I am trying to work out if the antivirus & its VPN could be causing problems.
Thanks for your suggestions.

Suggests that a 24 hour limit on sending had been applied. To make progress I'll need to know the TT three digit error code and a bit of detail about how you use email. For example, how many devices are connected at the same time to your mailbox? Are any devices connected to broadband via a VPN connection e.g. a work VPN or VPN security provided as part of a security package?

Hi, and thank you. Tried again this morning, and that email departed successfully. This has happened once or twice in the past though. I cannot think why my mail sending should be limited by the spam sending system, as only a few emails are sent each day. Usually, even if I occasionally Reply All to an email that has 8 recipients, there is no problem. How do I find out more about the spam sending measures?

What's the TT error code that accompanies the "Too many recipients" message?
The message indicates that your mail sending has been rate limited by the spam protection system and there are a number of reasons for this to happen. The TT error code will help to identify the type of rate limiting that's been applied and whether the mailbox will be restored to normal in an hour or in 24 hours.
