Email Transition to Everymail - not able to send emails

What a nightmare i've had for the last two days.  I had notification on 9 April that my non broadband email address will be routed via Everymail and I will have to pay a fee.  I have no problem with this as I live overseas.  Since yesterday I have not been able to send email, although I can still receive them.  My storage is only 29% so that's ok.  I've spend two days talking to TalkTalk support who say they can't help as I don't pay for broadband and that I have to wait until 21 April when they will send me a link to subscribe to Everymail.  Thats 7 days without being able to send a single email.  The support agent seemed to think this was ok.... nothing he could do.  All I wanted was to know whey I kept gettng the following error message when I try to send.

Message could not be sent to the following recipients: "test-mail@talktalk.net" <test-mail@talktalk.net> (550 - 550 5.7.1 Reject for policy reason ).

The agent Allan didn't answer this question, can anyone else advise me?

Thanks

Amelia

It's looking like a totally different situation from the original poster,  @bshah, so not helpful adding your thoughts on this thread.

Though there are no longer staff on here, it's helpful to keep posts relevant to the OP's or start your own  - ultimately only agents on phone  / Live Chat support will be able to resolve it for you.

From the 29th of March our TalkTalk Community will move to peer-to-peer support and the TalkTalk team will no longer be here to support with queries. Don’t worry we still have plenty of ways to reach out if you need to speak to TalkTalk directly. For more details check out the link in the post at the top of any forum message board.

good luck getting any decent response from talktalk directly - have the same issue and have been told different things

  • someone attempted to hack into  your account
  • someone created a filter using another email address (which they can see - but I can't) and they were able to remove after password reset
  • to it's now been flagged to another team/company for escalation

they can't even tell me how the filter was created in the first place - even though "the hackers" didn't get access to my account - some how the filter was on their server yet they don't know how it was created

If at least you can receive them, and it's not always crucial to use the exact same address to reply / send, simply use a Gmail  / Hotmail or whatever free account @ameliateresa to send, and include an explanation about the fact that you can't send from your usual one for now, @ameliateresa.

It's always a good idea to have a reserve spare one - especially when sending from abroad.

Talktalk mail often gets blocked if there has been a lot of Spam coming from that area, regardless of whether or not you're having to transition to Everymail.
