Linking email to broadband a/c to avoid charges

Please link my email to my broadband account.

Profile has been updated as per this advice:

This is to avoid charges with the move to Everymail. I received an email suggesting I'd be charged for using my talktalk email but I am a broadband customer.

@AlanN1933 the team is working on this, I understand that it is frustrating and inconveniencing, please do allow the relevant team to work on it as they are doing with high priority a number of customers has been affected.

Hello again,

 

As of this morning, the ability to send emails on the normal webmail has been lost, with a pop up message saying:

"Final notice: Act now or lose access to your email. Your ability to send emails has been disabled" with an option to subscribe for free for 30 days etc etc.

 

Please, please can this be sorted immediately

 

I am writing this on behalf of my father, who has major health issues at the moment and would find this very stressful if he knew. Please update when sorted. This is not the first issue he has had with his Talktalk service, which he relies on because he is housebound, so a speedy resolution is absolutely necessary.

Hi there @AlanN1933 . I can assure you, the email address is already on the account, I filled in the form yesterday, it could be the back-office team has not attended to it yet. However you should no longer receive communication regarding this. Please ignore.

I received another email this morning (10.34am) stating:

 

"Hello,
We wanted to let you know, that if you haven’t done so already, to sign up for a 30-day free trial of the new Everymail Email Experience before 8 September to prevent your mailbox being restricted."

 

..followed by a lot of blurb about the 30 day free trial and subsequent subscription costs and benefits.

 

Should I just ignore this or is further action required?

Have you listed the email address, that was linked to an old account, in Private Notes, near the end of Personal Information in your community profile area?

 

SAVE CHANGES once done.

 

Staff need to record that you still use this address and have a current broadband package. 

 

They'll respond after the weekend.

Hello,

Sorry for the delay. Received two emails (17th June & 1st July) both titled "Important reminder about changes to your TalkTalk Mail" with the text

"While you’re no longer a TalkTalk broadband customer, we’ve continued to provide your email service free of charge for some time. However, with this change, we’re no longer able to offer it at no cost." and stating

"If you don’t sign up to Everymail by 8 September, you will no longer be able to access your TalkTalk email address or inbox through your internet browser, in line with our terms and conditions. This is permanent and it will not be possible to recover this account once it is closed."

Obviously I am a Talktalk customer with a broadband and landline and quite reliant on these and email due to age and being mainly housebound.

I assume this is the information you require? Please confirm if it can be sorted soon. I am also reliant on my son to help me with all this
