Old Tiscali Email Account

I have a very old Tiscali email address that I can’t remember the password for.  Unfortunately someone has this old address saved for me and they have sent a receipt to it.  

Does anyone know how or if I can get into this account without the password please?

The receipt company would have received the same bounce back fail to deliver message so they will know the email address does not exist.

Thank you so much Gondola.  Email has indeed bounced back and Verifalia has also come back as email address doesn’t exist.  I guess it was a long shot as I haven’t used that account in years.

I’ll contact the receipt company and request that they send it to the correct address.

No domain indicates the email address entered does not exist on the TalkTalk Mail active database.

Mailboxes are flagged for deletion if the user doesn't sign in at least once every 180 days. The help page  Deleted Email error message explains more.

So first you'd check if the email address is still active. Send the email address a mail message and see if you get an immediate bounceback error message saying 'Undeliverable' that means the mailbox isn't active.

Then  enter the email address at Verifalia, an external website that verifies if an email address exists. Enter the email address, complete the reCAPTCHA and select the Validate button. Does the top line response say 'Deliverable' or something else?

Thank you Gondola for your advice.  I followed the link, entered my details and got this alert ‘The email address entered does not have a TalkTalk domain. Please try again.’

My email address for Tiscali ends tiscali.co.uk.  Any ideas what I can do now please?

The Reset password now button in the help article  Changing your email password will take you to password reset and recovery. 

If the email address is still active on the TalkTalk Mail platform and you have set up password recovery options, in advance, that you recognise from the *****hints, then you can send your alternate email address a link or your mobile a 6-digit code to authorise a password reset.
