Tiscali accounts

I have received an email purporting to be from tiscali saying that the old versions of tiscali.co.uk are closing and that I will not be able to send or receive email.  Further in the 'website' they have misspelt the word 'passvvord' which makes me suspicious.

Has anyone else had this email and is it spam/

Hi davidtheturner, its a phishing scam and when you check the header you'll see the tiscali address is spoofed and the real sender address is probably gmail.

Check the email header/sender name for the full address. I am not aware that Tiscali have sent any messages on their own account for many years, since they were taken over by TalkTalk.
