@PJamesB, if you need support, please start your own thread.

If the original poster sets their thread to receive notifications, their inbox gets an email every time we post, and this can be annoying for the OP.

It can also confuse the thread.

If you do need further help, return to the message board and click on start a topic.

I'll close this to new posts meanwhile.

There are are some other settings in  https://community.talktalk.co.uk/t5/Articles/Email-settings-to-access-TalkTalk-emails/ta-p/2204399.

that are also required.

I'm having similar problems also using thunderbird as my mail client.

I've changed the incoming server to mail.talktalk.net with port 995 for POP3 type setting. It's stopped the pop up from appearing but now doesn't connect to the mail server.

Any assistance would be appreciated.

Hi, @davemk39

From https://community.talktalk.co.uk/t5/Articles/Email-settings-to-access-TalkTalk-emails/ta-p/2204399

the incoming server should be mail.talktalk.net with port 995 for POP3 type setting
