2.5Ghz band disabled since the latest firmware update, can't be re-enabled

Hi there,

The other week my TalkTalk Wifi Hub 2 updated to the latest firmware (SG4K100206), but this has caused an issue where the 2.5GHz band is permanently disabled. I have tried disabling and then enabling the band in settings and advanced settings, but it stays as Down or Disabled no matter how many times I do it.

This is problematic as my printer doesn't support 5GHz, and so is out of action until a solution can be found.

I have tried both restarting and factory resetting the router. Neither have solved the problem.

Any ideas? Is it possible to reverse the firmware update as it was working fine before?

Morning,

Thanks Keith. I thought this might have been one that you already flagged to us but I just wanted to double check.

Hi @Michelle-TalkTalk yes this is one of my known bugs that is in hand with the Devices team. The same goes for the 5GHz band as well. Even if the UI says it is back up, you can't trust it.

@BlueFish1294 the only workaround currently is to do a full factory reset.
