Digital Voice Adapter not working properly with BT XD56 Phone

Since having Fibre installed the Digital Voice Adapter has caused nothing but trouble and we have repeatedly tried to get help with Talk Talk and they have failed spectacularly to provide any help.

 

Just by way of background we have a Digital Voice Adapter connected to Talk Talk Fibre 150 (Eeero). We have under advice from support now rebooted the router , and the adapter at least 10 times with. no sign of the problems being fixed. The latest was talk talk arranging to phone us back with an answer and then stating the call is cancelled due to it not being their problem,. Apologies for the extended rant , now on to the problems.  We have replaced the phone being used, the Grandstream box and all cables.

 

1) The Digital Voice Adaptor permanently shows the line as engaged. The analog phone has the engaged tone on pickup but will let you dial out.

2) The phones date and time is reset to default every time a call is received. We believe this is a problem with Digital Voice Adapter and caller id.

3) When a call is made to the number and picked up, a call from another person takes priority and cancels the original call. 

 

To that end is anyone using the Digital Voice Adapter successfully and can they recommend a phone make and model that works well with it ?

Hi jan,

 

I'm really sorry to hear this. Can you try the following, plug the DVA (grandstream) into the ONT, wait for the broadband light to come on then perform a pinhole reset of the DVA, this should get the phone light back on within about 5 mins, once that comes on can you change setup back to normal. Please let us know how you get on.
