End of contract imminent

Hi everyone,

I've checked my account this weekend and have discovered that my contract
with you ends on the 30th November, which gives me just over six weeks to
consider my options.

I am currently on Fibre 65, which is reasonably fast but I must admit I;m
tempted by the faster fibre packages you have; Fibre 150, Fibre 500 and
Fibre 900.

I have two questions basically ;

1 / How do I check which, if any, of these faster packages I might be able
to get?

2 / If I am eligible for a faster package and decide to go for it, will I
be able to keep my existing 'phone package / privileges?

I wish to keep my existing copper land line if possible but I accept that
this may not be possible in the long run because copper is being phased
out soon for this purpose.

Thanks in advance,

CP .

Yes, it is now thanks. Hope you're having a good Christmas (and to Michelle and Gliwmaeden2 as well)), and all the best for 2024.

Thanks. What swayed it in the end was that you're still doing a good job of filtering my landline calls so that I don't get many spam calls or any caller-withheld ones - it's worth having that peace of mind.

Still hoping to upgrade to a faster Internet connection in the New Year though I’m OK with my current one for now.

Thanks to everyone who's replied. I've renewed my contract for another 2 years on the tacit understanding that there will be a faster connection coming to my area, and reasonably shortly (I was told between 3 to 6 months). The sales agent  was also kind enough to reduce the monthly landline 'phone charge.

By the way, for those who don't know; FTTP ,= Fibre To The Premises.

Bad news unfortunately; I spoke to your customer service team today and it does appear that I can't get the faster speeds (150, 500 and 900) and there is no indication of when it might be arriving. It seems that Wildanet's got the monopoly on those locally because they've gone ahead and installed the FTTP cable(s) before anyone else has done.

No easy options by the looks of it. I think at the moment Fibre 65 is enough for my needs, but the demands made on hardware by such things as 4K video (and I can easily envisage a time soon when all video will be 4K) are increasing all the time.

Hi Michelle,

No I haven't, how do I do that please? It does appear though that I can't get your higher speeds (Fibre 150, 500 or 900) where I am now. At the moment I can manage fine with Fibre 65 but these things have a habit of changing as, for example, video gets released at higher and higher resolutions.

Best,

CP .

Good afternoon,

Thanks for the update. Can I just confirm, have you been in contact directly with our Loyalty Team so they can check this for you?

Thanks

Michelle

Thanks for replying! I've now run the checker and it's offered me the choice of Fibre 35 or Fibre 65 (which I'm using now). There's no mention of Fibre 150 , Fibre 500 or Fibre 900, so I think it's safe to assume that I can't get them at the moment.

Best wishes,

CP .

You'd need to speak to them about retaining the copper line, @ColonelPanic232.

You'll be on a new contract so would pay for phone calls at the usual rate, but the boost can be added again. At full price, it's £16, but you may get a discount with it.

It's not included free these days.

Use the full fibre checker to see what's available:
