I have received an email from Openreach telling me that my area/road will shortly be upgraded to FTTP from FTTC (Currently 65Mbps +)
I am still on contract until November 2024 - so assume that my current prices will remain, at least until that time ?
ie) £27 inc unlimited calls ?
I understand that ISP's are responsible for ensuring that outgoing landline calls can still be made in the event of a power outage for disabled customers ?

Hi Weevie
I can confirm that you are currently on fixed price plus contract.

@Weevie, Arne is talking about a future contract being fixed price plus. Not the current one, as that expires in November.
Your billing area in My Account shows you your current contract expiry date.
An old thread, when you were setting up the current contract is here:
https://community.talktalk.co.uk/t5/Billing/Do-I-stay-or-Do-I-go/td-p/2960089/page/2
You also will have kept contract details in an email from around the same time as that thread.

I don't believe that I am officially on a "FIXED PRICE PLUS" contract
I AM on an "18 month fixed price" contract though - end 12 Nov 2024
Perhaps you could check for me
I have been a TT customer now for 21 years !!

Hi @Weevie from personal experience, after my road was installed with the infrastructure it was still a few months before talktalk contacted me to offer a free full fibre upgrade to the property, this was without any change to my existing contract end date or the price I pay. I am now just within 90 days of my contract ending and have now received my online renewal offer which is more expensive, however as I get very close to the end date I will contact and negotiate with the retentions team for the best deal available as there are better offers from competitors out there. Hope this helps.

But what about the new fibre system ?
ie) If/When I am finally connected to FTTP - Its presumably going to be more expensive than my current deal ?
If it is connected in, say, June - will I still be paying £27 including calls until November ?
And what will it go up to in November ?

Hi Weevie
If you are on fixed price plus, there wont be a price increase in April.
There is a battery back up included for vulnerable customers should there be a power outage.
