Switching to TalkTalk (FTTC)

I am (hopefully) switching to TalkTalk Fibre 65 from another FTTC provider.

When completing the order it mentioned that everything involved with the switch could be done remotely.

Now I am getting messages from  Openreach about an engineer coming to my address and needing access to the house in order to complete the new service installation.  Needing permission from an adult to make install decisions etc, etc.

I have been with the current provider for years, but always thought a change in FTTC provider wouldn't need anything to be done in the home ?  I am missing something ?

An engineer is always booked incase there is a problem when the switch over happens.

Talktalk always asks that there be a responsible adult around just in case something crops up that requires access, @Wardown14.
