My router was replaced by talktalk some months ago and since then my connection is not stable with dropped connections and the speed that I am getting is at best 9MB and usually just 7MB. Please advice as the router settings may need resetting ? Thanks.

Dear Keith,
1. What make/model of router do you have (if this is a TalkTalk router, these details will be on a label on the rear or underside of it)? It's their new router FAST 5364-3.TB. I had the old router which stopped working and this new one was replaced in Jan 2024. Previously used to have around 14-15 MB speed.
2. What package are you on? Fibre-35 package
3. What is the speed shown in the internet area of the router's dashboard when you log into it? 20 MB
4. If you have any wired connections, are they affected in the same way as wireless ones? I am testing the speed using the wired connection on my desk top. Best speed so far 8 MB!!!
After a number of attempts ringing an automated talktalk support line; it appears that they have opened my case unresolved! Any tips that you have will be most welcome. Many thanks again.
