Hi,
Our fibre randomly went off yesterday and hasn't returned.
Reset router etc etc.
Previously the fault has been at the cabinet.
Ran a test on the talktalk website and it says there is a fault.
Says to contact talk talk but clicking on the link leads to a dead page.
I'm away all week and the account is in my name but my wife/kids are at home. Wife needs internet for work and calls as we use it for WiFi calling.
Can someone from talk talk please confirm it is being looked at?
Thanks.

Hi,
No need for an engineer.
I've gotten home from being away and my friend who works for sky has fitted a newer faceplate and gave me a new ADSL cable.
Internet is working again.
Can't fathom why things that have no moving parts just stop working for no reason......
Anyway. It's working. Thanks

Hi
I've sent you a PM to confirm some info to allow us to progress to an engineer.
Thanks
Karl.

Hi, yes we have tried both the original talk talk router and Netgear nighthawk which we have used for a few years now. No difference.
Still no internet.
Previously the problem has always been at the cabinet down the road.

Hi,
Thanks for confirming. Have you also tested with a different router to rule this out as the next step will be to arrange an engineer visit to the property?
Thanks

Yeah phone works.

Morning,
I'm sorry to hear this. The line test has detected a potential fault towards the property. Can I just confirm, is the voice service ok? Does the main socket have a test socket please?
Thanks
