Hi yes,the xboxbox does need UPnP,to work properly.when I go to connection test it says strict and Upnp is no available.when I reboot the router it comes back as open Nat type.when I try it the next day it goes back to strict.

Hi @langy71

Thanks for confirming your connection type.

Are you just relying on UPnP to open the required ports, which is the normal method? However, not only is this highly insecure, exposing all of your devices to untold malware, or are you using port forwarding, which is far safer? If you have the Sagemcom FAST 5364 or 5464, there is a bug in the current firmware (V174) where UPnP does not work anyway.

Hi langy71

I have seen a couple of customers mention this now. Can you try a 30 minute power down of the router please?

How is your XBox connected to your router - Ethernet or wireless?
