TV box dropping connection with wifi

Can anyone assist. Despite not changing my wifi or tv box set up recently over the last month my talktalk TV 4K box keeps dropping the connection with the wifi hub router. The only way I can reset it is to reboot both the wifi router and the tv box and then it finds the connection. Has anyone got any suggestions.

Hi
There is no way to reset the box without losing recordings.
Also, Netgem are rolling out a config update to reduce the Iplayer issue. This is usually triggered if the signal for the channel is weak.

is there any other way to avoid that as we have a lot on there?
Out of interest do you also know why we can no longer record bbc channels through the box and it just forces us to iplayer?
thanks

Hi
It will remove any recordings on the usb drive as that will need to reinitialise.

Hi
Try a reset of the box as detailed here :
https://community.talktalk.co.uk/t5/Articles/TV-Box-Maintenance-Reset/ta-p/1429347
See if the box then continues to drop the Wi-Fi
Thanks
Karl.
