Problems with Huawei HG-633 Router

Hi, we currently use the Huawei HG-633 router, but within the last year we've been having many problems with it. The wifi often drops out and requires restarting the router. Sometimes the connection will drop out entirely (wired and wireless), but all of the lights remain flashing green, and again restarting the router temporarily fixes it. The wifi performance has also degraded, and has required that we use powerline to connect a TV at the other corner of the house, where previously we didn't need to.

 

As a long standing customer (over 10 years), would it be possible to receive a new router as a replacement? Thank you.

Hi Debbie - we received the replacement router today - all set up and working. We'll keep an eye on it to make sure all continues to work fine. Thanks again.

Having similar problems with my old router, been with tiscali/talk talk for years. How do I go about getting a replacement for this old tech?

Hi Chris - yes, we've tried resetting the router to factory settings a couple of times now, but it doesn't make any difference and the problems mentioned soon appear again.

That is quite an old device now, I am sure the support team here can replace it for you. You should get a response from them tomorrow.
