I have experienced varying broadband speeds for a while now. Currently with your speed test facility it is running at 66Mb. A few days ago it was running at 32Mb. I have unplugged and re plugged my connections in the past and nothing changed. The only times there has been a change is when the hub is switched of and then on again. My hub is a HUAWEI HG633, which I have had for about 7 years. Is it out of date as I am on the Fibre Broadband package? It is most noticeable when using my Smart TV on iPlayer for example. I get the spinning circle displayed for several seconds before the program restarts. Windows 10 says my connection is unsafe. Is that a clue.
Your help would be greatly appreciated.

Hello Debbie,
I am more than happy with my new router. I have kept a record of the speeds over the last month since installing it.
They vary from 60Mb to 71Mbs anywhere in my house. I have never had speeds like that before. I have also not had to
switch it off and back on again since installation.

New router arrived this morning. Installed OK and Wi-Fi is running at 67Mb. The unsafe Wi Fi network message has also been fixed!
I'll check the speed on a daily basis and let you know the results in a month's time. Does that sound like a plan?

If I haven't, I would like to accept your kind offer. Hopefully it will solve my problem.
It seems a big coincidence that when I switch my router of and then back on again the speed is back at 65Mb plus.

I'm sorry to hear this. I've run a test on your line now which is clear. The HG633 is one of our older routers. Would you like us to send a replacement router (Wifi Hub) to see how the connection compares?
