I turned off Unlimited UK Call Boosts because we hardly use it. Shortly afterwards our Panasonic phone started announcing all incoming calls as "Anonymous" (i.e. normally the caller display facility searches the list of our contacts on our phone a and announces their name). I raised the problem with the Talktalk help team and spent 2.5 hours trying lots of their suggestions to no avail so ended up restoring UK Call Boosts and some days later the problem fixed itself.
Does anyone know if this means that if you need Caller Display you have to have UK Calls Boost?
I.E No UK boosts = No Caller Display?

After removing Unlimited UK calls again on Tuesday 11th March, I got the same problem, rang Talktalk who eventually said they’d pass the problem to the technicians and to expect a call from them within 3 working days. Of course they didn’t ring by Friday so on the following Monday I decided to try something different. I disabled Caller Display and waited until I got an email confirmation. I then monitored my boosts until it was showing that Caller Display was disabled. Then I re-enabled Caller Display and waited an hour or so and then tested the phone again and bingo it worked perfectly.
So the problem is caused by disabling Unlimited Uk Calls in that it also disables Caller Display but doesn’t show on the boosts screen that it has also disabled Caller Display. Why a boost for outgoing calls should affect incoming calls is beyond me!!!!!
