Hi since the last week or so, I am unable to go onto reddit. I have tried chrome, and brave, but I cannot access either so it's not a cookies related issue. I can access the APP fine on my phone however that's an app.

as per usual, i've tried to check my safe settings in my portal, but (like always) i am just met with a technical error. But this technical error has existed since i've had my broadband for 5+ years so that's not a solution for me.

Can anyone please check that there is nothing blocked?

I can access reddit when using a site such as np.reddit.com/?feed=home but this is not helpful as that uses a different format.

The error message i'm met with is:

This site can’t be reached

The connection was reset.

Try:

ERR_CONNECTION_RESET

When trying to run a connection test on talk talk site as usual, i'm met with

Sorry, we had a problem checking your services

We tried to test your network connection but we can’t provide status updates on your current package.

If you need any additional help, chat to one of our team below:

And then when I try to access my homesafe settings, as usual, i'm met with

We’re sorry but some features are unavailable right now, please come back and try again later.

When I try to access my virus settings on the account management screen, as usual i'm met with

There was a technical error

We’re sorry and working hard to resolve this. Please try again later.

Now, i'm starting to get fed up that every time I try to look at something, even in my account settings, theres a permanent technical error, allowing me zero access to features i'm paying for. (this has ALWAYS been the case though, it has never worked)

Secondly, blocking reddit, and having to use a VPN to bypass it is the final straw.

What exactly am I paying for?

Can someone fix the above issues within the next few days or I am going to immediately switch providers. I've had enough.

I do see that you contact us last night and your case has been escalated to case management, and you will be contact by them regarding no sync and your account is only going to be migrated as from the 01.01.2026 to Utility warehouse. I will be able to run checks on your account regarding unable to access certain websites. Are you at home to be able to proceed.

So just to provide an update, the issue is still occuring. However, when I connect to my mobile phones hotspot on 3g the websites work, so I know it's not an issue with my PC but from talk talk's end.

I am still unable to acccess any of the sub areas within my account profile page as I am met with "technical errors", or " we are working to fix this" but i've always had no access to any functionality within my account so this may not be linked. The technical errors are funnilly enough never resolved.

i'm guessing it's some router settings that have messed up.  The connection is stable and doesn't drop either for sites that are not "adult" tagged. So things like google, amazon, asos, news sites work it's just anything that seemingly requires age user verification (possibly?) that is causing a block.  However, as stated again, when hotspotting off my mobile phone, i can access the sites as normal.

Looks like all adult websites are blocked . Something must have been enabled on my account

Before we proceed with any checks, could you please confirm if you've tried accessing Reddit using mobile data? If not, please turn off your TalkTalk Wi-Fi and attempt to access the site with your mobile data. This will help us determine whether the issue is with TalkTalk or with the site itself. Thanks
