EERO PRO6 Overload and Other Stories

Hi,

I rejoined TalkTalk last week after being back at BT for a number of years.

I am on the 900 package which is supposed to come with 2 eero Pro 6 devices however on the Friday before the go live date I had two deliveries from two separate delivery drivers literally within 30 seconds of each other. One of the deliveries was a parcel which included 2 eero Pro6 devices and the other delivery was a bag containing 1 Eero Pro6 device.

Now you would immediately think that would mean I now have 3 eero Pro6 devices however you would be wrong as I had already bought one from amazon on a prime Day deal so in actual fact I have four in the house 😂

Anyways. In anticipation that you might want one of them back I have one of the TalkTalk delivered devices unopened sitting here waiting for further instruction? If you insist I am happy to keep it.... 😉

My other story relates to EERO Secure - I have a feeling that my system is not set up fully as the app is not TalkTalk branded and it is prompting me to sign up for Eero Plus. Is this something only for existing TalkTalk members or are 'newbies' supposed to have that as well? I made sure that it was one of the TalkTalk devices that was designated as the gateway device and not the one I bought myself.

I have a wee feedback story about my switching 'journey' but won't muddy the waters on this thread with that just now.

Hopefully the lovely supporty people on here can help!!

Many Thanks

Hi Chris.

A wee update for you as I suspect you have not been updated yet. I noticed at the tail end of last week that the app on my phone has now got TalkTalk branding and that I have EERO secure showing as Active now. So that's this element now resolved.

Many thanks for your assistance with the resolution to this.

Yes - My Internet went down on my BT box at about 1:00am on the connection day so I plugged in the Eero to the ONT and it connected straight away and has been flawless since with a healthy 940+ download speed. When I do a speed test on my PC the app I use recognises it as a Talk Talk connection. See screen shots I have just taken from phone and PC.

OK thanks. Is the gateway eero currently switched on? Do you have an internet connection via the eero?

Hi Chris,

Yes I do. There is no TalkTalk branding on the app (which i believe it should have?) and when I click on the eero plus link it offers me to try it free for 1 month. I made sure at set up that the eero that I purchased directly from Amazon was not the gateway eero.

Thanks for that. The eero's are all registered to TalkTalk, do you still have the same issue with eero secure?

Apologies for that Chris - That should be correct now.

Thanks for that but could you check as the first two serial numbers that you've entered appear to be the same

Thanks

Hi - That's that done -

Note that for the unopened one it is hard to distinguish between zeros or letters on the serial number displayed on the box label.

Many thanks

Hi Blue-Flame,

Could you add the seral numbers of all 3 of the eeros that we've provided, to the private notes section of your community profile

Thanks

Chris
